School Graffiti Workshops

Graffiti Workshops Bristol, Bath, Reading, Surrey, London, and other parts of the UK

We aim to make every school workshop a fun, creative and inclusive experience for all the pupils involved.

Graffiti Workshops for both State and

Independent School

We offer a mobile service, where we come to you to set up in your School's playing field or playground area.

In order to have a graffiti workshop, you need to have a suitable outdoor space where we can set up enough easel boards and some 3m x 3m pop-up gazebos.

We are based in Bristol but are more than happy to travel anywhere in the UK, and often find ourselves in Reading, Surrey, and London, as well as Bristol and Bath. Please note that travel time and expenses will be taken into account when working out your quotation.

The booking process and frequently asked questions

  • How do we book a workshop?

If you can send an email or message with your details, including your phone number please, and include where the workshop will take place, i.e. School grounds, number of pupils and year groups.

The next stage if you are happy to go ahead is to pay 50% of the graffiti workshop cost to fully confirm your booking, the final amount is due after the workshop has taken place, and an invoice has been sent ideally within 10 working days.

  • The day of the workshop

I will arrive at least  two hours to two and a half hours prior to the workshop starting to allow enough time to set up. Some corporate workshops require additional time to set up, and we arrive the day before to set up when needed.

Gazebos will be set up, and one of the bases of the gazebos will have a wrap-around vinyl film, which will be used to paint either the word graffiti, school name, or something else relevant to the workshop group or groups.

  • Safety and protective clothing

All the workshop participants will be provided with:

    Clean overall suit

    Clean Goggles

    Latex-free gloves

    FPP3 disposable face mask

    Shoe protectors

  • What if it rains on the day of the workshop?

There will be up to 5 x 3 metres by 3 metres gazebos. Please note that these gazebos are not designed to withstand extreme weather conditions such as storms, gales, etc.

In the instance of exceptionally heavy rain or extreme weather warnings, Graff Arty Limited and the customer will look at another date and time when the weather is more favourable.  Having carried out hundreds of workshops and graffiti parties over the last 12 years, this has never happened only once. The Government closed every School in South Wales and some in the South West on this one occasion.

  • Do graffiti workshops take place during the Autumn and Winter?

Yes, graffiti workshops take place all year round. Portable lights are used during the shorter days of the winter months, generally, if workshops are taking place at Schools, they are during school hours anyway. The water-based spray paint used works in conditions up to -10 degrees.

  • What happens at a typical graffiti workshop?

The workshop starts with the participants having had their names sketched in advance on large sheets of cardboard. People then colour their names and background using water-based spray paint.

Aa brief demonstration of how to use a spray can and some simple painting techniques.

After they have finished their name boards, I then finish each of the boards with a 3D outline and white highlights, normally after the workshop is finished.

Participants after their name boards, then move on to paint other sheets of high-grade cardboard with freehand design and using a variety of stencils that are provided.

  • Do participants get to keep their artwork

Yes, everyone taking part in a workshop gets to keep all the artwork they produce during the workshop. The name board is professionally finished by myself with a 3D outline and highlights.

Their artwork is painted onto decent-quality sheets of cardboard. The size of the name board cardboard sheets is 80 cm wide by 60 cm high.  Freestyle sheets are 70 cm by 60cm.

  • What age do children need to be to take part?

Ideally from 8 years upwards. Younger children can be involved , but over the years we have noted that 8 upwards tends to be the best value as the children are more likely to be able to get changed independently into the necessary PPE and paint for the full workshop duration.

  • Our School isn't in Bristol, do you travel to other parts of the UK?

Yes, I am more than happy to travel anywhere in the UK. At the quoting stage, the additional cost of the standard workshop costs will be added to the travel and time to get to your Business, Event Venue, School, or Youth Centre.

Graff Arty Limited frequently work in Bristol, Bath, Reading, Surrey and London carrying out graffiti workshops and parties.
